Bellisa Cafe

March 30: I caught up with Miss Katie and her mum, aunty Lesley for breakfast at Bellisa Cafe.

It has been a while since I last visited the area to shop or to eat, apart from taking Casper [my 4-legged 8 years old baby] for grooming at Happy Dog Grooming every second months. So when Miss Katie mentioned a nice cafe near her house, I got curious and cannot wait to trying it out.

I arrived early and got a table near the entrance. With my usual habits, I took out my camera and ready to snap some photos and just as I snapped a photo of the shop counter, a young looking waitperson walked up to me asking in a rather rude manner "What do you think you are doing?" I was in shocked and couldn't comprehend fast enough as to why she was being so rude to me, so I asked: "What do you mean?" Pointing at my camera, she repeated: "What do you think you are doing?". Puzzled, I said: "I am taking photo for my blog". Without another word, she walked away huffing.

I was in total shock and was so ready to stand up and walk out, but decided against it because Miss Katie was about to arrive.

I am sure the food tasted not too bad, but I was so taken back by the rude manners of that particular waitperson that I literally lost my taste bud. I had to remind myself on several occasions [at the time] that I was there with my friends and will not let such trivial matter ruining my day. Needless to say, I have not returned to the cafe again since that day's incident.

  1. I agree that she should not have been so rude to you however, if I had someone I didn't know enter my shop or restaurant and take photos without asking I would asking what you were doing... whether it be for a blog or not.

    1. Thank you for your comment. For the record, I do seek for permission prior to 'roaming' around the shop or cafe to take photos. On this occasion however I only snap a quick pic of the counter from where I was sitting.
