GK Central Hotel

As you know, hubby and I have just come back from 3.5 weeks holidaying in Vietnam. This was our 4th visit to VN and we haven't been back for almost 3 years.

We usually booked the same hotel each time we go back for a visit - for none other than ease of mind and because we already know the place. Last year however, we decided to go for something different.

Our holiday bookings are usually booked through with the occasional direct hotel booking if they happened to have any good promotions suited to what we were looking for.

Having read through other people's reviews of GK Central, we decided to book a Premier Deluxe Double Room Balcony for their "book now pay later" offer that they had on at the time. Upon checking in, they gave us room #502 with the balcony facing the main road of Lý Tự Trọng, which was just perfect as we get to see view of the city as well as the Bitexco Financial Tower in the background.
Our room at #502
Our room was simple, clean and comfortable.
Spacious bathroom

GK Central was built in 2013 with modern furnished rooms overlooking the hustle and bustle Ho Chi Minh's city streets. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and what I love most were their upgraded amenities, including the international power sockets in various locations of the room!

The hotel offers free LAN and Wi-Fi access in all the rooms - Wi-Fi speed tend to be faster during the day and a bit slower later in the night.

GK Central situated near the East Gate of Bến Thành Markets (less than 5 minutes walk from Lý Tự Trọng & Thủ Khoa Huân corners)

The hotel offers a variety of Western and local cuisine breakfast options and daily specials, which were included in our room reservation.

I usually go for the daily specials and occasionally an additional bowl of congee with the additional condiments as per below - pickled daikons & carrots, salted duck egg and pork floss.

Our morning coffees were of course Vietnamese coffees! Hubby always go for the Cà Phê Sửa Đá (Iced Vietnamese Coffee) while I'd always have the Cà Phê Sửa Nóng (Hot Vietnamese Coffee).
View of the city via the balcony over looking Lý Tự Trọng street around 6-7pm

The highlights of GK Central were how friendly and accommodating the staff was! We would definitely stay at this hotel again next time we go back. The location, amenities and staff friendliness were exactly what we were looking for!

GK Central is a 3* hotel but their service was of 4-5* quality!
