Yelp’s Botanical Balcony Party

Hubby and I got to attend the Yelp's Botanical Balcony Party at the Perth Concert Hall on Friday night, courtesy thanks to Laura and the amazing team at Yelp.

Together with our friend and fellow foodie, Lily of Foodieguide_Lily we were practically the first 3 people arriving at the venue prior to 6pm! Yes we were that keen!

I often find reasons to dressed up when I go out and with Yelp's dress code being 'botanical', it was just the perfect excuse to dolled up in a few of my favourite pieces and the benefit of arriving early was that we get to try everything we want before the queue kicks in!!!

Stampede Gelato was on one of my top list to try as soon as we got in, while Lily dash off to take pics of all the other food/drink stalls.

Both hubby and I tried the "coconut fig jam rum" flavour and loved it!

Next up was The Standard stall and their delicious "Chicken grill, rice noodle, peanuts, Asian herbs, fried onions and nước chấm" These were so good that we went back for second!

We also shared between us a plate of "Beef Carpaccio with wasabi cream, soy pearl and bay leaf" - I would have gone back for second if the line wasn't that crazily long!

In between our savoury dishes, we also tried a few drinks, first up was the Aperol Spritz - we had a couple of these and frankly I lost count!

I also queued up for the Bombay Sapphire gin but again the line was way too long for me to go back for seconds!

Hubby also got to try out the Young Henrys' beer and cider - his preferred choice was of course the cider

We also tried the chicken satay at Satay on Charcoal served with rice cube, onion and a generous amount of peanut sauce!

For dessert, I got to try a piece of the Honey Cake and Cake in a jar by Carina's Kitchen and they were both delicious!

All in all we had an awesome time! A special thank you to Laura (and team at Yelp) as well as the traders for putting up such an amazing feast for us all to enjoy!

See you again at the next event!
