Boat Collective

A group of Instagrammers and me got invited to a river cruise by Boat Collective recently. Boat Collective is a "floating bar on the Swan" or in plain term, a party boat for the young and "young" at heart!
Boat Collective offers different time frame for their floating sessions on the weekend, with the upcoming Saturday from 2pm - 5pm and Sunday from 4pm - 7pm. All sessions go for 3 hours and can either drop you off Mends Street Jetty or Barrack Street Jetty.

The boat has a fully licensed bar with two options for hot food - Nachos $10 and Beef & Gravy Roll with coleslaw $8 - chips and nuts are also available to purchase on board.

The boat can hold a maximum capacity of 100 people - perfect for birthday parties or a small engagement/wedding party.

Thankfully the weather was pleasant that day and it wasn't as hot as the last few days, but hey what boat cruise without a chilled drink on hand? I normally don't drink beer but being on a boat I have no other choice but to try one and it was so worth it!
The Matso Ginger Beer was such a satisfying thirst quencher while we cruising the Swan River.

Thanks Boat Collective for an amazing day. I had so much fun and can't wait for the next event!

Elite Event: Wok St Chow House

I attended my first Yelp Elite Event at Wok St Chow House last night and it couldn't have been a better place for my very first Elite Event either, for I ❤ the restaurant's theme/décor and of course their ever so cute panda logo by the name of "Yum Yum" 🐾

Wok St Chow House focused on the flavours from Thailand using in season produces sourcing from local places such as Freshcorp Farm, which also mean that they rotated their menu seasonally as well.

We were seated in the courtyard area, completed with the Panda mural in the centre wall  our seats were allocated by name tag and a little info about ourselves which I thought was a brilliant "conversation starter".

Wok St's dishes are meant for sharing and the food was a generous serving size, enough for the four of us to have second or third (that is if we wanted to lick the plate clean!)

There were Prawn Crackers w/ House Chilli Jam on the table as we arrived, followed by the starter dishes of Kililaw Fish, Marinated Beef Strip w/ Loas Naam Jim, Fried Marinated Chicken Wing with Sriracha Sauce, Homemade Fish Cake and Miang Larb Ped (Duck in Betel Leaves) - the spiciest of them all!

Upon seeing that I was struggling with the chilli heat, a kind waitress offered me a cooling plate to combat the spice from the dishes I ate and it worked! Blessed her!
We were told that Wok St offers additional heating and cooling plates on request. If you want extra heat and spice, ask for a heat plate or if you're anything like me, ask for a cooling plate (usually is cucumber, lemon or watermelon).

For mains, we were spoilt with Thai Green Chicken Curry, Crispy Pork Belly, both served with rice and lastly, Pad Thai. The Crispy Pork Belly dish was amazing especially with a side serving of rice!

Thank you Nick, Andrew (Head Chef) and the team at Wok St Chow House together with Laura and the Yelp crew, for an amazing night feasting on some of the amazing food as well as the chance of meeting old and new friends/Yelpers - I can't wait for the next one!
